New season, new car, new engines, brave new world. In order to make the sports more political correct, Bernie had decided to make all F1 cars into Prius on Steroids. Yes, from naturally aspirated 2.4 litre V8s, the engine had been been downsized to 1.6 litre turbo-charged V6 with energy recovery systems strapped to the turbo charger and the brakes. It might be good news for Mr. Johnny Polar Bear but I do not think it is a good thing for the sports. More forward looking yes, but the racket that is associated with F1 cars is gone. Now they all sound like the neighbourhood Ah Beng's soaped up Proton Wira.
Having said that, congratulations to Petronas Mercedes AMG for scoring their first 1, 2 finish since 1955.
